Knock 'Em Dead, a film made by Barking and Dagenham's Andrew and Danny Baxter and George Massey, has been short listed for the The Best of Borough Film Awards (The BoBs), a prize celebrating grassroots film-making talent in London.
'The BoB Awards', is a competition, which is being run by ITV Local London which provides video news from ITV1's London Tonight.
ITV Local will be boosting film making talent in the capital by offering 2 new prizes of £2000 to the winning films made through the Film London Borough Film Fund Challenge, which supports new and emerging film-makers in the capital by offering £500 to £5,000 towards the production of a short film.
A panel of representatives from the film and TV industry will award a Jury Prize. A separate Public Prize will be awarded by London Tonight viewers who can take part in the public vote at the ITV Local website until 4pm on Monday 30 June 2008.
Both prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony at BAFTA on Wednesday 23 July 2008. All the short listed films are available to view in full at the ITV Local London website.
Knock 'Em Dead has been made through the Eastern Edge Film Fund. It is one of 6 short listed films selected from 42 films that were made through the Film London Borough Film Fund Challenge.
Synopsis of 'Knock 'Em Dead' The Athenian Noble Tournament of Nations 2K12 is missing one of its speed skating contenders. To take his place along the starting line to compete against the world's best speed skaters, he will have to push his skating skills to the limit to get down to the stadium before the starting gun.
