If you are visually impaired and would like access to local information, the Barking and Dagenham Talking Newspaper can help.
Barking and Dagenham Talking Newspaper provide a free service to visually impaired people. It records on cassette tape, extracts from local newspapers and the Citizen as well as publishing its own magazine, Beacon, every 6 weeks. It then delivers the tapes to clients.
There is no cost for this service. Postage is free to registered blind. All clients are required to do is to return the tapes, by Freepost, in the wallets provided.
Also, Citizen is available in large print format which can be posted to your address. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please contact the Citizen Magazine.
