Coffee Mornings in Libraries

Gateway to Music|

Thursday 11 March 2010, 7pm

Showcasing the talent, diversity, commitment and skill of young musicians and staff within the ten London Olympic Host/Gateway Boroughs and based around the theme of endeavour Gateway 2 Music promises to be an evening to remember. Consisting of a mix of music and song including Western classical, choral, urban, samba, steel pans and percussion. The performance will culminate in a specially commissioned piece involving some 350 young performers.

Silver Surfers Day

Friday 21 May 2010 (sessions to book during the day)

Silver Surfers Day is part of Adult Learners Week and offers older people the chance to try out computers for the first time or to try out new computer skills.

Twilight Classical Concert|

Saturday 29 May 2010, 7.45pm - 10pm

Gates open at 7pm to the sounds of the church bells rung by St Margaret's Church Bell Ringers. The mood-setting music of the Aminta Concert Orchestra, conducted by Dr Donald Hoskins, plays to a background of special lighting effects, creating a romantic and magical atmosphere. The event concludes with a grand finale of fireworks.

The Dance Festival
