Voluntary Streetleader Scheme

 

What is the purpose of the Streetleader scheme?

The Voluntary Streetleader scheme aims to make our neighbourhoods cleaner and safer by working closely with volunteers from the local community. The scheme will be a pilot for 6 months and will give residents the chance to make their views count.

Who are Streetleaders?

Streetleaders are residents of Barking and Dagenham who are concerned about their environment and want to help us improvements.

 

They will report problems to us such as:

How do I become a Streetleader?

The Streetleader Charter sets out the relationship between individual Streetleaders and our Streetleader Coordinator. Once you have read and agreed to the Charter you need to fill in and return the registration form.

 

On acceptance as a Streetleader you will be invited to a training/induction session and issued with a Streetleader pack.

How do I make a report?

The Streetleader Scheme will have a dedicated free telephone number that you can directly contact us on. Streetleaders will also be able to report problems online or via post. By giving your Streetleader identification, your report will then be acknowledged and you will receive an automatic update of the action taken. Our Streetleader Coordinator will monitor progress, if the problem remains unresolved, Streetleaders can contact the Streetleader Coordinator directly.
