You can find out more about our supported housing services in this part of the website.
We aim to deliver a range of housing and support services in partnership with specialist agencies. We provide for a broad section of community needs including people who in addition to having accommodation problems require additional support services.
We provide a range of supported housing schemes, floating support services (supportive housing management) and housing with extra care(housing facilities with dedicated care and support workers).
Supported housing is accommodation provided with support including intensive or supportive housing management. For some people, it offers a way to living fully independently in their own homes. For others, they provide regular support, which help them maintain their independence in the community.
Accommodation consists of good quality, safe and supportive housing from bed-sits to self contained flats for families with support worker on site. Support could be provided through regular home visits by support workers.
Examples of activities performed in supported housing are:
People with support needs including any of the following:
Physical disability, learning difficulties, mental health related problems, drug or alcohol related problems, at risk of offending, at risk or leaving care, vulnerable women with children, women at risk of domestic violence, people with HIV or AIDS, frail elderly people, single people in need of intensive housing management.
