Enterprise (working in partnership with the council) is responsible for providing housing repairs and maintenance service for the 20,000 council homes in the borough.
Enterprise has opened a 24 hour contact centre. This will mean that all requests for repairs will be taken on 1 telephone number which will be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and supported by 24 staff.
They currently handle around 17,000 telephone calls each month and over 700 email requests for work. Establishing this service will ensure a more efficient repairs service.

Overdue repairs - discretionary allowance|
We are not responsible for repairing damage caused by tenants, other members of the household or invited guests.
Tenants are responsible for all repairs that may be needed, resulting from damage, misuse or negligence.
We will respond to repair requests where damage has been caused accidentally by tenants, for example, broken window glass, but the tenant would be responsible for paying the cost of such repairs.
If the cause of the damage is due to vandalism by others, it is a requirement that the tenant reports this to the Police first and that a Police crime incident log number (Cad Number) is obtained by the tenant. This number should then be given to us when reporting this type of repair.
