Every child has the right to be and feel safe in school and bullying in any form should not be tolerated. Bullying can put the emotional well-being and educational achievement of your child at risk. Bullying can include any of the following:
We take incidents of bullying very seriously and our schools will investigate allegations of this nature.
Each school will have an anti-bullying policy in place that will identify a procedure to protect the children within their care.
If you think your child is being bullied the most important thing to do first is talk about it.
Quite often this initial 'talk with the teacher' will put an end to any bullying, but, if the situation does not improve the Head Teacher and the Chair of School Governors should be informed both verbally and in writing. They can, and will take action to stop bullying.
