Gascoigne Road Residential Unit

 

The service is supported by the Community Learning Disability Team which includes the Community Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and a Consultant Psychiatrist and others who are available to advise.

 

Who is the service provided to?

Adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities with other physical or sensory loss or who have behaviours which challenge.

 

Age range

16 - 65 years.

 

Who is eligible for the service?

Adults with profound and complex needs, with multiple disabilities and high dependency needs.

 

How is the service accessed?

All residents are referred to the service by the Community Learning Disabilities Team, which is located in St George's Centre, St Georges Road, Dagenham.

 

Is the receipt of the service time-limited?

We offer a home for life unless needs change to a requirement for nursing or medical care.

 

Capacity

12 long-term service users.

 

Is there a charge for the service?

There are charges for some of the programme activities (e.g. community visits).

 

Attendance details

Service users live in the home.

 

Opening hours

24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including all bank holidays and Christmas).
