Carers Support Service

Support and Advice for Carers

There are many ways for you to get help if you are a carer and look after a friend or relative, adult or child who is ill or disabled, who cannot manage without your help.

You may be new to caring, or have been a carer for many years. You may live with the person you care for, or they may live elsewhere.

Caring for someone can be very rewarding, but you as carers need support to make sure you enjoyed a fulfilled life beyond caring if you want:

Barking and Dagenham Adult and Community Services Department can give advice and information about organisations and services for you and the person you look after.

These are the ways you can get information on services and support for yourself.
