The service provides best value and high quality day opportunities, which promote good health, social inclusion and respite for parents/carers.
The service is provided to residents of the borough, who are adults with learning disabilities and adults with physical and sensory needs.
18 - 65 years.
The service users must meet the following criteria to be able to facilitate the service:
The service is accessed by referral and following an assessment of need. If you do not already have a named social worker then your first point of contact for this service is the Adult and Community Services Care Management Team.

There are regular reviews during the first year of using the service. Once the parents/carers and the service user is satisfied with the service, an annual review is set-up. Any changes will depend upon the assessed needs and the individuals' change of circumstance.
The Maples is currently accommodating 2 Services: Adults with learning disabilities and adults with physical or sensory impairment.
There is a weekly charge to cover the cooked meals that are provided; also there are charges for some of the programme activities that the service provides (i.e. horse riding, bowling, swimming, cookery, gym and lunch)
The Maples provides a Monday to Friday service. Through our Person Centred approach all our service user's needs are assessed individually, enabling us to provide the best quality service tailored for individual needs.
Adults with learning disabilities:
Monday to Friday: (9.30am - 4.20pm)
(Closed on weekends and bank holidays)
Adults with physical and sensory impairment:
Monday to Friday: (9.30am - 4pm)
