Domestic violence affects 1 in 4 women at some point in their adult lives.
Domestic violence incidents reported to Barking and Dagenham Police have risen by 76% since 2001, and it is estimated that it costs agencies and those living in the borough £68.65 million per year. To reduce these costs we need to deal with domestic violence more effectively, by providing victims of domestic violence with an appropriate and coordinated service at the earliest possible stage.
Consulting with service users is paramount to our overall aim of reducing incidence of domestic violence.
After reading the strategy, please answer the questions below and email your responses to emma.gray@lbbd.gov.uk by 1 May 2006.
