Adult and Community Services

Would you like to work for us?

We are at the heart of the Thames Gateway, where the social and build landscape is rapidly changing. Regeneration, social cohesion and the delivery of high quality services are top priorities. The title of our community strategy 'Building Communities and Transforming Lives' is an everyday reality.

We have created a brand new Adult and Community Services Department to deliver value for money and high quality services to adults and older people. As the name suggests the new service takes a council wide and partnership approach to delivering the social care vision for adults set out in 'Independence, well-being and choice'.

With a huge regeneration programme, a wide mix of cultures and a unique location at the Thames Gateway, Barking and Dagenham is an exciting and challenging place to work.

If you thrive on change, this is definitely the place to develop your career!
