London Taxicard Scheme
The Taxicard Scheme is for those people who are unable to use any form of Public Transport.
The scheme allows people up to 120 black cab trips per year, at a subsidised rate. The current level of subsidy is as follows:
- Trips up to £11.80 - Taxicard holder pays £1.50, Borough pays balance up to a maximum of £10.30
- Trips over £11.80 - Borough pays the first £10.30, Taxicard holder pays the balance
- There is no limit on the distance that can be travelled, nor any time limits
Applicants must be registered with this authority as a disabled or blind person and have a permanent and substantial physical, mental or sensory disability that imposes serious mobility problems.
Applicants must meet all of the eligibility criteria for the scheme.
