Aimhigher

What is it?

Aimhigher is a partnership between schools, Further Education Colleges and universities funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England with support from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills aimed at increasing the number of young people going to university.

The role of Aimhigher is to raise awareness of the benefits of a university education, to enable students to make informed choices and to raise attainment at GCSE and in post-16 qualifications so that students are better equipped to continue studying.

A range of activities is in place locally to support this and to encourage students to continue their studies at a higher level and reach their full potential.
