Parks and Countryside

Ranger Services

The Parks and Countryside Ranger Service were set up in 1996 to:

Manage Eastbrookend Country Park
Arrange school visits, events and activities
Provide a uniformed presence and undertake patrols and inspections in parks and open spaces in the borough

Ranger Services Manager

Responsible for the overall management of the Ranger Service staff, services and facilities.

Visitor Education Ranger

Responsible for the Millennium Centre, and coordinating the guided walk, activity and events programme.

Educational Packs|

Parks and Countryside Ranger (Education)

Responsible for coordinating environmental education both at the Millennium Centre and at Parks and opens spaces throughout the borough.

Parks and Countryside Rangers

Responsible for managing and promoting Eastbrookend Country Park, Beam Valley and urban park projects. Management and improvement of park play areas and delivering education and the events programme.

Assistant Parks and Countryside Rangers

Responsible for park and playground inspections, minor repairs and maintenance.

All staff are responsible for customer care, project work, site patrols and leading or helping with events and activities.

London Wildlife Trust manage The Chase Local Nature Reserve which is next to Eastbrookend Country Park, and their staff are also based at the Millennium Centre.
