Operational permits

This permit may be issued to essential users, working in conjunction with the borough, such as doctors, district nurses or similar healthcare professionals. This permit allows the holder to park in a designated resident permit bay during controlled hours.

To obtain an operational permit, applicants are required to supply valid insurance documentation for the vehicles and a covering letter from a company secretary or proprietor confirming the applicant works for the establishment concerned.

The costs of this permit is:

£60 each per annum

Organisations wishing to bulk purchase (5+) operational permits must allow a period of 5 days for the processing of applications.

Permits may be purchased by post, by writing to Parking Services at the address shown or by visiting the Barking Learning Centre, One Stop Shop, 2 Town Square, Barking, IG11 7NB.

Opening hours:

9am - 7pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

9am - 5pm, Wednesday and Saturday
