Streetscene are responsible for the maintenance of hedges and shrubs growing on highway verges and housing amenity greens.
Highway verges and Housing amenity greens are maintained on a regular cyclical regime. The performance of Streetscene's Grounds Maintenance work is monitored by the Parks Asset and Client Liaison Officers.
Hedges and Shrubs within private property or council housing are the responsibility of the resident.
Any hedge or shrub that protrudes into the highway is a danger to the public and notice will be served on the residents, informing them that if the offending growth is not trimmed, we will carry out the work and recharge the resident.
Any resident who is unable to cut back the outgrowth, due to age or infirmity, should notify us as soon as possible.
If you would like to report over grown shrubs and hedges that are causing an obstruction please contact us.
