All skips placed on the highway must have a skip permit. It is the responsibility of the Company providing the skip to contact us requesting permission to place a skip on the highway.
Permits are normally issued allowing a skip to be placed on the highway for a duration of 2 weeks, although this is reduced to 1 week on main roads.
All skips on the highway must be lit at each corner and the ends of the skip are to be painted yellow.
Any skip found on the highway without a valid permit will be removed and the cost of the removal charged to the skip provider.
