Service standards
As part of the Charter Mark Award the Sports Development Unit has developed a service standards leaflet which highlight the beliefs of the Sports Development Unit in regard to topics and procedures which affect everyone the unit comes into contact with.
These standards will be followed and adhered to at all times in the day to day running of the Unit.
Standards have been set, and a leaflet produced advertising these standards, in the following areas:
- Our commitment to our community
- Child protection
- Complaints procedure
- Equal opportunities
- Fair play charter
- Health and safety
- Medication and medical equipment
- Parental partnerships
- Public correspondence guidelines
- Customer care guidelines
- Keeping our community informed
All of our service standards then link into our service standards where appropriate.
We also link our service to our 7 core priorities and are working towards our Best Value review. The priorities are:
- Raising general pride in the borough|
- Promoting equal opportunities and celebrating diversity|
- Developing rights and responsibilities with the local community|
- Improving health, housing and social care|
- Making Barking and Dagenham cleaner, greener and safer|
- Providing better education and learning for all|
- Regenerating the local economy|
