Rivers and Canals

Although Barking and Dagenham is inland, many people from the area visit the coast and River Thames on holidays, day trips or for water sports and sailing.

Major new regeneration projects will further open up access to the River Thames for many more people at Barking Riverside and Dagenham Dock.
