Literacy Link Governor

 

Aim

To assist in providing the best possible learning opportunities for literacy from within the resources available:

  1. Support the Head Teacher and the curriculum leader on literacy matters
  2. Support parents by raising awareness of the need for good literacy skills
  3. Support pupils by celebrating successes in literacy
  4. Support Governors by keeping them informed of the issues relating to literacy

Note

It must be acknowledged that each school is unique. Therefore these terms of reference should reflect the strengths and challenges of each school and should not be adopted wholesale. The terms of reference should be reviewed annually in the autumn term with any recommendations for change being submitted to the whole governing body.
