Education Inclusion Team (Curriculum) including Special Educational Needs

 

The Education Inclusion and special educational needs teams work closely with the School Improvement Service Curriculum Teams to develop cohesive approaches to special educational needs.

 

They offer guidance and support to all schools, Pupil Referral Unit, Special school, special educational needs bases and other local authority institutions in order that inclusive policies, systems and practices are established.

 

Who is this service for?

Staff, managers, Special Educational Needs Coordinators in a variety of settings.

 

The focus is on supporting developments in teaching, learning and behaviour in order to promote inclusion and reduce exclusions.

 

The School Improvement Service Special Educational Needs Team provide a substantial range of training courses for all school-based and local authority staff in order to support and contribute to school improvement, raising achievement and promoting inclusion.

 

The team operates in partnership with a range of other agencies in order to promote collaborative working practices.
