Every year we are required to publish our performance against all national statutory Best Value Performance Indicators relevant to the authority's functions.

The Barking and Dagenham 2007-2008 Performance Plan provides Best Value Performance Indicator results for the financial year 2007-2008.

It also includes Barking and Dagenham's certification of compliance with the Code of Conduct on Workforce Matters in our Service Contracts.

Our commitment to data quality

Our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality, ensuring that performance information is right first time underpins our aim of achieving excellence. This commitment is outlined in our Data Quality Policy.

To ensure these high standards of data quality are met, we annually review the systems and controls we have in place with regard to the collection and calculation of all performance data.

We also produce a Data Quality Action Plan which is updated annually to ensure that any issues are rectified. The Action Plan is monitored throughout the year and is available to all staff.
