Housing and Council Tax Benefits

Proof of your details

Before we can award benefit, we must see proof of things you tell us about in your form.

If you get Income Support, Income-based Job seekers Allowance or Pension Credit we need to see proof of:

National Insurance Number for you and your partner
The benefit you receive
Identity
Rent; and or
Non-dependant income

If you are on a low income, we need to see proof of

Wages, last 5 weekly, 3 fortnightly or 2 monthly, they must follow on from one another
Any welfare benefit, for example, tax credits, child benefit, state retirement pension
Savings and investments
Identity
Rent
Bank accounts
Any other income, such as maintenance received
