Refuse

Domestic Rubbish|

We will:

Collect your household refuse weekly (subject to Bank Holidays)
Let you know in advance of any planned change in your collection day (for example bank holidays); and
Pick up any missed collections by the end of the next working day

Bulky Household Items|

For example: beds, furniture and cookers.

We will:

We offer a free bulky household collection service
Aim to remove them within 15 working days from the time you contact us and agree an appointment

Clinical Waste|

Clinical waste disposal from private households includes the safe collection and disposal of items like hypodermic needles, incontinence pads and dialysis waste.

We will:

Provide you with yellow bin bags and boxes for sharp items; and
Arrange a first collection within 5 days of your first enquiry

Other Rubbish

For example: kitchen units, bathroom suites, boilers, building rubble, garden sheds, fences and DIY waste.

We will:

Give you an estimate (which is valid for 4 weeks) for the cost of collection, within 5 working days; and
Aim to remove the items 15 working days after we have confirmation of your payment

Street Cleansing|

We will:

Inspect and/or clean every road in the borough at least once a week; and
Clean shopping parades where there are more than 5 shops, at least once every working day

Road spillage|

We will:

Arrange for our cleansing team to deal with this. Response time for urgent spillages is 1 hour and for other, non-urgent spills, 24 hours
