Sheltered Housing provides for a safe, secure environment where customers are supported to continue to live an independent life in the manner they choose.
A team of NVQ (QCF) qualified and fully trained staff are on hand to support you in maintaining your independence and accessing any other services you may require now or in the future.
There are several sheltered housing schemes across the Borough and you can choose the area you wish to live in. Accommodation ranges from flats to bungalows and each scheme has different facilities.
Each scheme has its own designated Scheme coordinator who is your support link and who will ensure that you at the very centre of the service we provide. We know you are an individual and you will be treated as one.
Sheltered Housing is not a care home or a residential care setting. It is supported housing providing you with support to maintain your independence within your own home. It is also provides a community for you if you want to participate, where you will not be isolated.
Each flat or bungalow is your private, self contained home with its own front door, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
