Out of school childcare clubs provide formal childcare for children aged 4 to 12 years.
Nearly every infant, junior and primary school is linked with at least one club that provides childcare either on site, or picks up and drops off children from the school.
Qualified staff will escort children to and from school either walking or by minibus.
They can offer childcare:
before school (opening hours usually 7am - 9am)
after school (opening hours usually 3pm - 6pm)
during school holidays (opening hours 8pm - 6pm)
