Registration service

Births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships

Important Notice

Please note that the Register Office will be closed on Wednesday 11 June 2014 due to essential training. However, if a timely burial is required they can call the Register Office to arrange.

The Register Office

Is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 4pm (10.30am - 4pm on Wednesdays).

We are a small office but try to see all customers within 10 minutes. It is rare for us not to achieve this target but if you find yourself waiting for longer than this time it will be because we are exceptionally busy. Please bear with us.

You will need to make an appointment if you wish to register a birth or death, or give a notice of marriage or civil partnership. You do not need an appointment to purchase a copy birth, death or marriage certificate.
