Admissions to schools

If you would like to apply for a school place for your child (aged between 4 and 16), the Admissions Team will process your application. The forms you complete will depend on your child's date of birth and when you apply.

Moving from Primary to Secondary school 2015

Moving from Primary to Secondary school 2015
If your child was born between 1 September 2003 and 31 August 2004, you must apply on-line now for a secondary school place for your child.  This move is not an automatic move, and you will need to apply for a place at the schools you would like your child to go to.  The closing date is midnight 31 October 2014. The admissions process and criteria are listed in the booklet ‘Moving to secondary school in 2015’.  Please make sure you read and understand the information in this booklet before you apply.  If you don’t follow the process in the booklet, you put your chance of getting a place at your preferred school at risk.

Important note:
If you apply online and you cannot see your exact address in the list presented, or the schools you want to apply for are not listed, you must contact the School Admissions Team by 5pm on 31 October 2014 or your application will be late.

University technical colleges (UTC) and studio schools are opening in some areas to provide 14- to 19-year-olds with technically-based courses of study or learning that is based on the skills they will need for work. Please see www.utcolleges.org and www.studioschoolstrust.org for more information about these types of schools.
