Information for council tenants

We manage and maintain around 20,000 council properties, one of the largest social housing stocks left in London. We have kept our properties because our tenants voted overwhelmingly to keep the council as its landlord.

Below is some of the key information we feel you will need as a Council Tenant.

Report this by phoning the council's contact centre, Barking and Dagenham Direct on 020 8215 3000. We will arrange for it to be cancelled from the system and for you to be sent a new one (you may have to pay a fee for the replacement). Please note that our security staff do not keep spare keys to your flat. At the end of your tenancy, you must return all keys and key fobs.
