The Council's Arts and Cultural Development team manage and promote two gallery spaces in the borough The Gallery, Barking Learning Centre and Dagenham Library hanging wall. Both spaces are situated in multi-purpose buildings and as a result have a large and varied audience base. We programme throughout the year ensuring there is a diverse range of art work to view from professional and amateur artists through to community groups and school projects.
If you wish to apply for an exhibition in either space then please complete the relevant booking form and return to the Community Arts Development Officer at the address shown.
The Gallery, Barking Learning Centre
The Gallery, situated on the ground floor of the Barking Learning Centre, opened as a new art space in June 2007. Ideally situated in Barking Town Square, the Gallery's glass front allows for viewing from quite a distance.
Since its opening in 2007 it has fast become a hotbed of art displays for the borough. Ever changing, the Gallery is programmed 6-9 months in advance of each booking. The demand for this space is very high and subsequently there is a waiting list which you can join should you wish to exhibit your art work.
If you are interested in exhibiting your art work at The Gallery, Barking Learning Centre then please either contact the Community Arts Development Officer at the address shown or complete the form found directly below.
