Library service

E-library

Barking and Dagenham library service has introduced an e-library service. The e-library collection contains audio books and e-books which can be downloaded to PCs, Apple Macs, e-readers and now iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows mobile devices too

An e-book is a digital version of a book that can be downloaded and read on a computer or portable device (for example a Sony e-reader or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)).

An audio book is a recorded reading of a book which is downloaded to a computer and can then be transferred to a portable device such as an iPod or iPhone or other MP3 player.
