  • Do you enjoy singing? Want to meet and sing with like minded people.  Join Greenshoes Arts for their open rehearsals and become a part of their community choir.  The choir will perform at the Bandstand Marathon and will continue to rehearse and perform to provide a positive legacy from Molten 2012.

  • In celebration of the Molten Festival 2012, Eastside Community Heritage will be hosting family arts and crafts workshops at the Barking Learning Centre.  Join textile artist Aisha Iftikhar and discover the heritage of Barking through fun hands on printing workshops. Aisha will teach you non traditional printing techniques that your friends and family will simply be amazed at. Participants will have the opportunity to upload their prints onto the Molten Festival Facebook ‘Best of Barking’ page and share their creations with family and friends. Craft materials will be provided.

  • This is where the Brass Band is quite literally turned on its head, led by Brassroots, the UKs favourite Brass Band Remixed, who are much more likely to be blasting Nirvana and White Stripes. This is Brass for all ages and begins with swing dance lessons in the 1930`s Brass style for all and ends with Brassroots performing with the UKs no1 Break-dance crew ADT , spinning to their sounds and encouraging the public to have a go.

  • Circumloqui has set up its haphazard stage at the top of a motorized tricycle. A musician and puppet clown present an array of hilarious and spellbinding mayhem; magic, the tightrope walker, the strong man, the animal tamer and, the incredible Bullet Baby, who’s capable of flying more than 50 meters!

  • Picto Facto, Brimbirons is a highly colourful, interactive walkabout performance by two cartoonesque characters on motorised scooters who play with the audience as they go buzzing and bumbling through the crowds, whilst singing a series of nonsensical rhymes in squeaky comic voices.

  • Leandre from Barcelona is one of the worlds best and most charming street clowns. With a few simple props Leandre conjures up a delightful world full of magical surprises and wonderful inventiveness. No two shows will ever be the same as Leandre engages with and plays off the audiences responses.

  • Harnessing 4 million volts of raw electricity the legendary Lords of Lightning are now charged, primed and ready to launch into the realms of sizzling myth with their awe inspiring live performances; quite literally raising the hairs off the necks of any audience.
