Valence Park and Valence House Grounds

Becontree Avenue

This park features an attractive tree lined fishing lake.

Valence Park is a relatively small park with a size of 11.3 hectares.

It offers space for information recreation for dog walking, jogging and a children's playground. The play area is currently being updated with a 'natural play area' for all ages. You will see grass mounds, trees and play equipment.

The park was once the grounds and garden of Valence Manor House, now the borough's museum.

Valence House Museum, Heritage Study Centre and local library are all situated on the edge of the park on Becontree Avenue.

With the creation of a dedicated Ranger Service in 2008, the park has now been allocated a Community Ranger who will offer a greater variety of events and activities over the next few years.
