Opportunity for local residents to experience the Olympic Park!

22/06/2012
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has announced a further opportunity for residents in the six east London Host Boroughs to experience the Olympic Games.

As a Host Borough resident, you will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase Olympic Park tickets.

Olympic Park tickets allow spectators to experience the atmosphere of the Park during the Games, watch live sporting action on the Live Site big screen, and enjoy the waterways and parklands. These tickets do not allow access to any venue within the Park.

Tickets are available for morning and evening sessions during the first week of the Olympic Games. There are an equal number of tickets per session and these will be sold on a first come first served basis, with full price tickets priced at £10 for adults and £5 for young people (16 years and younger) and seniors (60 years and over) .

As per all Olympic ticket sales, a charge of £6, which includes packing and secure delivery, will apply to all delivery addresses in the UK.

Tickets are available via a dedicated Host Borough Olympic Park ticket sales line 0844 248 5136.

Tickets will go on sale at 11am on Thursday 28 June until 6pm on Friday 6 July. You will need to quote the access code ‘Host Borough’. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per household as per all Olympic ticket sales.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Liam Smith, said: “This is another good opportunity for local residents to benefit as a result of Barking and Dagenham being a Host Borough.  With the London 2012 Games on our doorstep I hope that as many local people as possible take up these opportunities to get involved and enjoy the Games; it really will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience”.

In recognition of Visa’s longstanding support of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, only Visa (debit, credit and prepaid) can be used to purchase tickets.
