High standards of attainment and social and educational inclusion in schools and within the wider community are vital to the life and well-being of all residents. Both the promotion of social inclusion and the reduction of social exclusion address our community priorities by providing opportunities for each child, young person or adult to achieve across a wide range of areas.

 

Supporting vulnerable children and young people is at the heart of the service. The focus is on the individual within the context of family, community, school and peer group. Some services delivered will be universally available, others will be targeted and provide specialist skills and knowledge, to support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the community.

 

This will be achieved by focusing on the following priorities:
