Public Consultations

Hearing your views

We regularly consult local people on a wide range of policies, plans and proposals affecting the local community. Some of these consultations are statutory. That is, we are obliged to consult you by law.

However, many other consultations reflect a genuine desire to know what you think about what we are doing or planning to do.

Consultation portal

There are also benefits to you of using the consultation portal such as instant updates of new documents available for consultation, ability to view other consultees' representations, and the ability to update your personal details instantly such as changes of address or email. Responding online also has as environmental benefits as it saves paper.
