Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act allows you to ask us for all the recorded information we have.
You don’t have to tell us why you want the information, and we won’t ask.
Asking for information
You can write or email us to ask for information:
Requests should include:
- Your name
- An address to contact you
- A clear description of the information you want
We will reply to you within 20 working days of receiving your request.
Your request will be handled under different regulations depending on the kind of information you ask for, eg the:
- Data Protection Act if you ask for information an organisation holds about you
- Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs) if you ask for environmental information
Some sensitive information may not be available. If this applies, we will tell you why we cannot give you some or all of the information you requested.
