Eastbury residency programme

We are delighted to launch this year’s Residency programme at Eastbury Manor House with The Three-Inch Fools.

‘The Fools’ are a theatre company who will take up a seven-week residency at Eastbury Manor House from the 20 April until the 31 May 2017.

Each day ‘The Fools’ will be seen with all manner of musical instruments, props and costumes, giving Shakespeare a fresh and vibrant interpretation.

The three inch fools

Shakespeare was born in April 1564 and died in 1616, producing the majority of his work between 1589 and 1613.

Eastbury Manor House was completed c.1573, making the house a unique period Elizabethan setting in which to rehearse the Bard’s plays.

Visitors to Eastbury Manor will be welcome to view rehearsals and watch ‘The Three-Inch Fools’ preparing scenes and music for two of Shakespeare’s best loved plays – ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Twelfth Night’.

Visit us on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 4pm; and Sundays from 12noon to 5pm.

School groups are welcome to visit the house to meet ‘The Fools’ and watch rehearsals during the week, Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.
