Scented reminiscence session with complimentary tea and cake!

Valence House and Thames Festival Trust invite you to share your memories of Barking at a relaxed reminiscence session. An opportunity for anyone who has memories of working and/or living in Barking to join us to look at old photos and memorabilia. Contribute to our new ‘scented history’ project ‘The Barking Stink’!  Whether your memories of the area are from 5 years ago or 50 years ago, everyone is welcome to join the session to share.

With a slideshow and introduction by Valence House’s Mark Watson. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who worked in Barking’s industries/factories, those who lived/worked/went to school around Barking Town Quay, River Roding, Barking Creek areas or have memories of Fisher Street/Abbey Road shops and businesses to share.

Free to attend, no booking required just turn up on the day.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
