Community against knife crime
This event honours Duran Kajiama and all the young people who have lost their lives to knife crime.
17 year old Duran sadly lost his life when he was stabbed walking to a friend’s birthday party in 2016.
Duran’s mother, Beatrice, has since campaigned to raise awareness of knife crime and the effects that it has on families and communities.
- Are you a worried parent or carer?
- Want to play your part in making our community safer?
- Have you been affected by knife crime?
Join us for this awareness event where we will come together as a community to help stop knife crime in Barking and Dagenham.
The evening will have speeches from members of the community and a panel who will take your questions.
If you have a question that you would like us to put forward on your behalf then please email: events@lbbd.gov.uk
or alternatively you can ask your question at the event.
After the formal part of the event, there will an opportunity to visit our information stands and continue conversations over light refreshments.
