Helping isolated older residents get online

Breezie is a tablet device that makes the internet accessible by removing jargon, clutter and confusing set-up processes.

Each of these Samsung tablets is built with personalised home screens, featuring pre-installed apps that are picked according to the interests and needs of each user, like Skype so they can communicate with family and friends.

We have 75 Breezie tablets to give to older members of the community who feel disconnected and could benefit from getting online to help make life easier.

Each device has a 4G sim built in, so runs off the mobile network, therefore users won’t need to have the internet installed at home to use them. And, all users will be shown how to use their devices, so you don't need to be confident using new technology.

Breezie Partner

Breezie provides a unique online personalisation centre accessible by a nominated family member or trusted individual who we will call your Breezie Partner. The Partner can help identify your initial needs and thereafter add relevant content and manage other processes for you, such as adding contacts, interests etc. The Partner does this through the Breezie Family Hub, which can be accessed remotely from any computer, tablet or smartphone. It is an easy and convenient way to help you manage your Breezie.

Next steps

If your application is successful, the next steps will be
  1. You will receive a participation agreement as well as a simple questionnaire. Fill out these documents and send back to Breezie using the enclosed prepaid envelope.
  2. Soon, you will receive a call from a member of the Breezie support team. This call is mainly to talk about your interests, hobbies, fun facts you have always enjoyed and also your current contact with friends and family.
  3. Within 5 to 7 working days after the Breezie team receives the documents (explained above) back and Breezie support has spoken with you, you will receive their Breezie tablet computer. Enjoy!
  4. Soon after you receive your Breezie tablet computer, you should expect an orientation call from the Breezie team. The objective of this call is to show you how to get the most from your new tablet computer.

Participation agreement

If you are selected to become a Breezie user, we will send you a participation agreement through the post. You will receive your Breezie within 1 week after we receive the signed participation agreement back.
