Barking and Dagenham Catering Services shortlisted for awards
Barking and Dagenham Catering Services have been shortlisted in three categories for the upcoming EDUcatering Awards 2017.
The EDUcatering Awards recognise outstanding organisations and individuals who have excelled in the school meals sector.
This year’s ceremony will be held at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington on Tuesday 10 October 2017.
Barking and Dagenham Catering Services have been shortlisted in the categories for the Local Authority of the Year, Specialist of the Year and Primary School Caterer of the Year awards.

Chef Trainer Shirley Anderson is the candidate for Specialist of the Year, while Pauline Jones – Cook Supervisor at Dorothy Barley Junior School has been nominated for Primary School Caterer of the Year. This category was previously won by fellow Cook Supervisor Lisa Morris, back in 2015.
Councillor Evelyn Carpenter, Cabinet Member for Educational Attainment and School Improvement, reacted to the news, saying:
“I believe that Barking and Dagenham Catering Services are amongst the best in the business, so it’s great to see them getting the recognition that they deserve.
“I wish them the best of luck at next month’s awards!”
