If you’re on the lookout for employment then help is at hand, with the Barking and Dagenham Job Shop set to host a Job Fair for residents this month, in conjunction with Job Centre Plus.

The event is taking place on Tuesday 17 April from 10am – 2pm at the Barking Learning Centre, where a whole host of job opportunities will be available across a wide range of employment sectors.

Whether you’re interested in a position in retail, security, childcare or hospitality, the Job Shop could have the perfect role for you.

There are also vacancies in health and social care, construction, warehouse work and customer service, so make sure you head down to the Barking Learning Centre to see what’s on offer.

‘Our Job Shop does excellent work when it comes to helping people in Barking and Dagenham find the right job’

Mark Fowler, Director for Community Solutions, is encouraging residents looking for new opportunities to attend the event:

“Our Job Shop does excellent work when it comes to helping people in Barking and Dagenham find the right job and further their careers. We also engage with residents, looking at the barriers to work such as housing issues, debts and childcare,” he said.

“Whether you’re taking your first steps in employment, looking to get back into work or you’re looking for a change of direction, next month’s Job Fair could have something that’s right up your street.”
