Don’t miss out on the deadline for 2019 primary school admissions

If your child is due to start primary school in September, get your application in by next Wednesday, 15 January.

Although parents won’t find out the results until mid-April, it is vitally important that they apply by the deadline, as late applications could mean parents are less likely to secure a place for their child at their preferred school..

“I encourage all parents to make sure they get their child’s application in by the deadline and to use all six preferences.”

Councillor Evelyn Carpenter, Cabinet Member for Educational Attainment and School Improvement said: “Choosing the correct school for your child is extremely important and something that shouldn’t be taken without a lot of consideration.

“I encourage all parents to make sure they get their child’s application in by the deadline and to use all six preferences.”

Nine out of 10 Barking and Dagenham schools are rated Good or Outstanding.

You can apply for your child’s place online at www.lbbd.gov.uk/admissions
