Now in its tenth year, the annual seaside trip to Southend will be on bank holiday Sunday (26 August).

It is open to residents of Barking and Dagenham only, and although it is free, they will have to book their places beforehand.

The trip is organised by the Reede Road Tenants and Residents' Association and supported by c2c.

To book your family ticket all you have to do is go into any of the Every One Every Day shops between Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 6pm.

Leader of the council, Councillor Darren Rodwell said: “I am delighted that once again c2c has agreed to support this trip.

"Residents should please visit the Every One Every Day shops to book their places.

“I am looking forward to another great day out for our residents as it is an opportunity to meet neighbours and friends.”

On the day, residents will be able to catch the specially chartered train from Barking and Dagenham Dock stations.

The shops are based at 55 – 59 Ripple Road Barking IG11 7NT or 116 Church Elm Lane, Dagenham RM10 9RL.
