Beam Energy, Barking and Dagenham council’s energy provider, has launched a new competitive 12-month fixed tariff to help its residents save money on their fuel bills.

The offer is available exclusively to Barking and Dagenham residents till the end of June 2019 – offering an annual saving of £228* in comparison to what the Big Six are offering as an equivalent.

Beam energy provides electricity that is 100% renewable, sourced from UK-based wind and solar generators, so residents can save money on their bills whilst saving the planet at the same time.

To switch, residents can access a two-minute quote online to bring them one step closer to cheaper gas and electricity.

"This is the chance for local people to secure a competitive, cheap rate – if they act fast.

Councillor Darren Rodwell, Leader of Barking and Dagenham council, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer this exclusive tariff to our residents. The tariff has been designed specifically to help reduce the cost of energy bills, while providing certainty over bills for 12 months so there are no surprises.

“This is the chance for local people to secure a competitive, cheap rate – if they act fast. It takes just two minutes to get a quote online and I’d encourage everyone to find out just how much they could be saving.”

Prices may change. **12,000 kWh of gas consumption and 3,100 kWh of electricity consumption per annum. Figures from Energylinx.

†Our green electricity tariffs are certified as being sourced from UK based wind and solar generators. For every Megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity purchased for our customers, we also purchase a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificate, which proves the electricity is certified as being sourced either directly from the renewable generators or through a green wholesale energy provider.
