Nominations are currently open for this year’s Borough Recognition Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Borough Recognition Awards, where residents of Barking and Dagenham have the chance to nominate people or groups who make an outstanding contribution to their community.

Nominations can be sent in for any person or group who you believe has made a valued commitment to the people of this Borough. The Borough Recognition Award is not limited to individuals who have undertaken voluntary work and nominations can be sent in for any person or group who you believe has made a valued commitment to the people of this Borough.

If you are aware of any person/group who deserves recognition and wish to nominate them for an Award please complete the nomination form.

All nominations should be submitted no later than Friday 13 March 2020.

Winners will be presented with a signed certificate from His Worshipful, the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, Councillor Peter Chand at Barking Town Hall on Monday 4 May 2020. 

His Worshipful the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, Councillor Peter Chand, is encouraging residents to get in touch with their suggestions:

“We have so many great people in Barking and Dagenham who do a wonderful job when it comes to making our borough a better place,” he said.

“It would be fantastic if those residents or groups get the recognition that they deserve, so I would implore people to nominate anyone who they think is doing some great work in our community.”
