Sweet to headline Roundhouse Music Festival

British glam rock band Sweet will headline the Roundhouse Music Festival at Central Park on Monday 27 August.

Fans are in for a treat when the legendary group perform some of their biggest hits that saw them secure top ten hits with Blockbuster, Little Willy, The Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run and Love is like Oxygen.

Sweet have taken every continent by storm for more than four decades and enjoyed a return to London last year when they performed at the Stone Free Festival at the O2 Arena.

With original member and lead guitarist Andy Scott still at the forefront of the group, it promises to be a day to remember when the 1970’s hit sensations headline in Dagenham at the end of August.

Councillor Saima Ashraf, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Community Leadership and Engagement, said: “We are thrilled to have secured another big act for the Summer of Festivals.

‘The Roundhouse Music Festival is always one of the big attractions of the summer and this promises to be another great day for all music lovers’

Sweet are among a number of big names who will be performing at the Summer of festivals after West End star Kerry Ellis and English folk group The Unthanks also headlining.
