Online bills and electronic letters

Instead of receiving paper bills or notification letters, you can view your bills and notification letters online.

Using e-billing and e-letters is a convenient way to receive your:

  • Council Tax bill
  • Housing Benefit notification letters
  • Council Tax Support notification letters

This helps the environment and reduces paper and postage costs, which can instead be spent on other important local work.

E-billing and e-letters require a separate password from MyAccount

Your password for e-billing and e-letters is separate from your MyAccount password.  If you use your MyAccount password for your e-billing and e-letter account you will be locked out after three attempts.

If you had a MyAccount set up before 6 December 2016, you should have received an email with temporary login details. Use these to change your temporary password once you have logged in.

If you did not have a MyAccount before 6 December 2016, register for e-billing and e-letters using My Account.

How to register

Log into your MyAccount and choose the appropriate e-billing/e-letter links on the dashboard. You will then be asked register for e-billing and e-letters.

Benefits of e-billing and e-letters Toggle accordion

e-billing and e-letters provide a faster, more efficient and convenient way to receive and check your bills and letters.

  • you will receive an email notifying you that you have a new e-bill or e-letter
  • you can view your e-bill or e-letter as soon as it is available, whenever you like and as often as you like
  • you can save a copy of your e-bill or e-letter and can also print it or send it via e-mail to a recipient of your choice
  • you will always be able to find your e-bill or e-letter


Resetting your password Toggle accordion

If you have forgotten your password, there is a link to reset it on the e-billing/e-letters login screen.

To change your password, sign into e-billing/e-letters where you will see your first name in the e-billing/e-letters menu bar.

Click on your name and then the My Account option, and you will see an option for current password where you can change it.

Once you sign up to e-billing or e-letters you will stop getting letters or bills posted to you.

Instead you will receive an email notification telling you that there is a new bill or letter in your account.
